Recommended steps for Cloudflare users

If you want to continue managing domain DNS with Cloudflare, switch to the CNAME method to ensure smooth hosting upgrades without interruptions.

Add CNAME record

  1. Visit your Cloudflare account and delete all A & AAAA records for your domain and the www subdomain.
  2. Then add a CNAME record for your site’s tempurl.host address, with @ or your domain name as the record Name, and another with www as the Name.
  3. Make sure that the CNAME records are Proxied so the original IPs are not discoverable.

Confirm CNAME record change

  1. Once you’ve added the CNAME at Cloudflare, go back to the Domains list in your Hub and hover over the Update CNAME Record prompt for your domain.
  2. Click the Updated to CNAME Record link to confirm the change and remove the prompt.
